Recap by Fire Eater Wizard:
This was the first LE of 2013. Adam and Nikki were on in the first talk break. Rick (from The Metallic Onslaught) and Tim were there for most of the night. Two bands were there, as well. First was the band Burden My Surrender, who were cool. They were there 'til about 2:00. They were interviewed, and their music was played. Then the band Divot arrived. Both bands were there together for a while. Divot left around 2:45. Divot was also interviewed, and their music was played. They also played one song live acoustic on the air. They rock. You can find both bands on Facebook, Reverbnation and Youtube. Topics were discussed throughout the night, such as Coast To Coast A.M., Jesse Ventura's television show "Conspiracy Theory", Tesla (the scientist, not the band), ancient, mostly forgotten Judaism and shamanism. There were segments of "Movie Time", with everyone there contributing. The final hour was The Old School Hour...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;The band Just A Memory was there in the first portion of the program. They promoted their upcoming participation in the next The Last Exit For The Lost Presents Show. They performed three songs live and acoustic on the air, and their music was played from CD as well. They are very cool, you can find them on facebook and youtube. Kal was there, but only for a little while, then he disappeared, and no one knew where he had gone. It was speculated that perhaps he left with the band, since, after they were gone, so was he, but who knows, it is Kal, after all, with him, anything is possible. Two people were there who had not been in a long time. No, if you guessed Dave, he is still living up to his so richly deserved title of worst co-host ever in the world, and was not present. But Shane and Gorgar were, neither of them had been there in quite some time. Also there were, Rick and Ken from The Metallic Onslaught, Adam and Nikki, and Raven. Russian Roulette was played. If a bullet played, Raven would get to pick whom she would body slam onto a board that was covered in barbed wire, and then she would electrify the barbed wire board with the tazer. If no bullet played, then Raven would have to go into the basement and listen to the Metallica with Lou Reed album, a fate no one deserves. Two cover songs played, which is a bullet, so Raven would get to pick who would go into the electrified barbed wire. She chose Azkath, so that is what happened, making the first time Azkath has ever taken the penalty for a bullet. There were two segments of Movie Time, about half the people were able to contribute, including Just Joe, who, for once, had actually seen movies, like four of them. And Mark Anbinder, a long time WVBR personality, participated in one of the segments. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
Just Joe was finally back, after two weeks absence. He said he hadn't been there because he had been on vacation, and then, when he got back, he found a tunnel in his house, the tunnel Azkath had mentioned seeing the week before, when he went to check on Just Joe's house, because he suspected that Kal had super glued his windows and doors, which, someone had, and we suspect it was Kal, no matter how much he denies it. The band Ire Clad was there for about the first three hours. They were interviewed, and they played some songs live and acoustic on the air. Many songs from their CD were played as well. They are cool. They can be found on facebook and twitter. Tim was there. So was Kal, and his friend Shawn. The day before this LE, Saturday, December 10th, had been Kal's birthday, he turned 18, so he is now legal! Happy Birthday, Kal, and congratulations! It was also the birthday of a member of Ire Clad, Eric, so Happy Birthday, Eric! Just Joe Screeched, err, I mean, sang "Happy Birthday To You", with the band joining in. Azkath told Just Joe to go find something to give Kal his birthday spankings with. Just Joe came back with a cookie sheet. Azkath told Just Joe to hit Kal in the head with it. Just Joe gave Kal two shots to the head with it, then gave him his birthday spankings with it, then some more shots to the head. Now, Tim likes a lot of things that put his manhood in serious question, he LOVES the TV show "Dawson's Creek", loves the TV show, and the movie, "Glee", and has a lot of music on his MP3 player that men just shouldn't like, especially not a man on a metal show. And now, Tim kept his manhood in question by saying that the new "Twilight" movie had been really good. Azkath told Just Joe to hit Tim with the cookie sheet. Which Just Joe did. Then, later, everyone got hit with the cookie sheet. Azkath told Just Joe to hit Kal with it, to remember that Kal had stolen all his buttons a few weeks back, and that now he had super glued his house, and dug a tunnel there. Kal started fighting back, and he and Just Joe wound up on the floor together, hitting each other with the cookie sheet. During this struggle, Kal wound up with Just Joe's ass on his face. Tim got hit with the cookie sheet. He took it, and used it as a shield, then said he would hang onto it. Azkath got it back from him, and hit Kal, and Just Joe with it. Quite a lot. There was a segment of Movie Time, with Kal, and Tim participating. Tim did actually have another movie to talk about besides "Twilight". And, Just Joe, after three weeks away, did finally have some movies to talk about, despite having spent that time on vacation, and having all those problems at his house. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour.

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard
The band Stone Soul Foundation was there for about the first half of the program. They were interviewed, told us about themselves. They played a couple songs live and acoustic on the air, and lots of their music was played from CD as well. They are awesome, www.stonesoulfoundation.com is their website. Just Joe was not there, and no one knew where he was, no one had heard from, or was able to get in touch with him. Kal was there. Azkath asked Kal if he had had anything to do with Just Joe's mysterious absence? Kal said he had done nothing to Just Joe, or, at least he was pretty sure he hadn't. He did mention that he had heard of this guy who had been going around super gluing people's windows and doors shut so they couldn't get out of their houses. He speculated that perhaps something like that had happened to Just Joe. Azkath asked him if HE had done that to Just Joe, Kal said he was pretty sure he had not. Azkath decided to call Just Joe, on the air, to see if he could reach him, and maybe get to the bottom of this... When he called Just Joe's cell phone, it rang, on Kal! Kal obviously had Just Joe's cell phone in his possession! Kal immediately said that he had to go, and ran out. Azkath chased after him to make him explain himself, and what he had done to Just Joe, but Kal escaped. Since Azkath had the rest of the show to run, he couldn't follow Kal any further, but he did say that, after the show, he was going to check on Just Joe's house and see if he was super glued in there. BAD BAD KAL!! There was one segment of Movie Time, with Kal participating in it before he got caught and ran off. Just Joe probably hadn't seen any movies to contribute anyways. Maybe, with two weeks time, and a lot of that time probably having been spent super glued into his house, thanks to Kal, he will have been watching some, after all, if you can't leave your house, you will have a lot of time to fill. The last hour of the program was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
The band Just A Memory was there for the first couple hours. They were interviewed, and they played some of their songs live and acoustic on the air. Tracks from their EP were played as well. They are a cool band, www.facebook.com/justamemorymusic is the website where they can be found. There were four segments of Movie Time, Just Joe really sucks and had seen no movies this week, not even any kid ones that he watched with his spawn. He is still working his way through the television series "Lost". So Azkath had to do Movie Time by himself, spacing his four movies out, one at a time, throughout the night. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour...

May 15, 2011 - Sanjuro Fields

Listen to the Show

Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Dave was actually, amazingly, there. However, of course, since he is the worst co-host ever, with a plaque proclaiming him to be so to prove it, he was only there for a short while at the beginning of the program. The band Sanjuro Fields was there for most of the night, 'til around 4:00. They performed several of their songs live and acoustic. Very cool. Tracks from their CD were played as well. They rock. They are on facebook, reverb nation, and myspace. Keith, the bassist, threw Just Joe down the stairs. Later, one of the band members swore, so Just Joe got to hit him with a barbed wire bat. When he wasn't sufficiently traumatized by that, they had Keith and Just Joe take their pants off, take him into the bathroom, and make him the meat in their sandwich, if you will. That seemed to traumatize him a lot. After the band had gone, Just Joe said that he had seen little aliens on the lawn, and he had taken a picture. But it was only a picture of the lawn, no aliens were visible. He said he had taken a picture of where they had been. He was told to take a picture of them. He was sent on an alien hunt, with some awesome glam tunes from bands like Warrant, White Snake and such to get him all properly psyched up. But he kept only coming back with pictures of where they had been, never of them. At the end of the night, he still had produced no pictures of any aliens, though he still insisted they had been there. There was one segment of Movie Time, with Just Joe actually contributing.

March 13, 2011 - Hangman's Heart

Listen to the Show

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
The band Hangman's Heart was there for about the first couple hours of the program. They were interviewed, and they performed a couple of their songs live and acoustic. Tracks from their CD were played as well. Rick, Randy, and, BBBIIIIILLLLL!!!!, all from The Metallic Onslaught, were there. EVD was there, but, as he was there when the band was, and had left by the time the band had gone, he never said anything. This LE was one hour shorter than always, five hours instead of six, because it was the night that happens once every year, the night when we go back on Daylight Savings Time, when, at 2:00 A.M., we move ahead and it becomes 3:00 A.M.. Anyways, on this night, of course, every year, we pay tribute to glam, for the whole hour from 2:00 A.M. to 3:00 A.M., it is nothing but glam. Just Joe always gets soooo excited on this night, because he forgets every single year, that there is no 2:00 A.M. to 3:00 A.M., and thinks he's actually going to get to hear an entire hour of glam. So they told him to pick his first glam song. He picked White Lion's "When The Children Cry", of all things! Now, I love glam too, but let me just say that I am very disappointed in Just Joe here. While that song is pretty good, there are a lot of much better songs to pick from, even from White Lion, I personally would have gone with "Little Fighter", if I were going to pick something from them. After that was over, they showed Just Joe that it was already after 3:00 A.M., and that glam time was now over. Just Joe, as always, like every year, was extremely disappointed, and just couldn't figure out where his hour had gone, and why there was no more time for glam. And, next year, he'll be utterly disappointed all over again. Everyone else was quite sickened by having to endure "When The Children Cry". LE brought you a public service announcement this night, everyone acted out a part in a script on how you can be the first to be eaten when The Great Old Ones, chief among them The Great Cthulhu, awaken from their slumber beneath the ocean, and retake their place as ruler's of the world once again. You will of course want to be among the first to be eaten when this occurs, because, otherwise you will have to witness all the unspeakable horror that will ensue, much better to just be eaten right away, and get it over with quickly, probably extremely painfully but quickly at least, then to stick around longer and experience all the tortures and torments and unnameable things you will endure from the Shoggoths, and The Great Old Ones. And, we showed you how to do that, or if you are not eaten right away, you won't care anymore, because you will have gone completely insane, and will no longer be yourself, permanently and irretrievably. We showed you how to accomplish this when the time comes, which you would be extremely grateful for when it happens. That is, you would be extremely grateful, except you won't be then, because, thanks to us, you'll either have been eaten, or you'll be hopelessly insane. Either way, you won't be feeling anything at all. So you can thank us now for providing you this very important public service so you'll know what to do when the time comes. You're very welcome! Everyone took a part in the script, that is, except for Just Joe, who was supposed to provide the sound effects, but didn't participate at all, because he was too traumatized by all that talk of Shoggoths, and Great Old Ones, since he's seen them numerous times, when he was hypnotized and sent into the future. He went into a long, loud, rant about how the Shoggoth they had put on his roof kept stealing his pots and pans, when he was making grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup in them, and wearing them as hats. He later told us that the Shoggoth is finally off his roof, that all the snow froze it to the roof, and then all the rain melted that and washed the Shoggoth away. There were three segments of Movie Time, none of which Just Joe could contribute much to yet again, as he still has not been able to pay his cable bill, and has no TV, which makes it much harder for him to watch anything.

Listen to the Show - Playlist Below

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; The band Royal Dano was there for about almost half the program. They were interviewed, told us about themselves, and performed several songs live and acoustic. They rock. Tracks of theirs were played from CD as well. Also there was Dustin, from the band Sorrow Of Batavia. Dave was there, which is truly amazing, because this made it three or four weeks in a row! Shane was also there. And Dave had gone to Virginia, and retrieved Just Joe from where Kal had mailed him to the week before. Yes, Dave had returned with Just Joe, just as he had promised he would. Just Joe said they had a great time in Virginia, though, hanging out at the beach in their speedos. I'll bet the people of Virginia are SOOOO happy they are gone! After the band left, Tribute to the Past / Russian Roulette was played. If a bullet played, Shane would get to have a computer keyboard smashed over his head. If no bullet, then Just Joe would get to receive that honor. And, if an EVD song played, I.E., Shatner or Nimoy, or some other bizarre music like that played, which means EVD takes the penalty then, well, since EVD had left by then, Dustin would take it. Bullet. Shane got the laptop keyboard bashed repeatedly over his head by Just Joe, till all the keys were off of it, and it was all misshapen. Then Azkath took it and hit Shane some more with it, and then he hit other people as well. There were several Movie Times throughout the night, with Dave and Shane participating in some of them. Just Joe is still quite limited in this now, as he has been unable to pay his cable bill, it was turned off, and, now that has kinda cut down on his movie viewing. There was a whole lot of great new music this week, so the last hour, which has recently been all old music, soon to have a new title of it's own, was forgone this week, to play more of all that new stuff, plus the host wasn't feeling in an old school mood this night, and, since he's the host, he gets to decide these things...

January 9, 2011 - Steve Performs

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; This was a Tribute To The Past Show, no Russian roulette or bullets this time, but a straight Tribute To The Past night, like it used to be, but we haven't had one for a while. Which means of course, that the whole program was mostly old music, with lots of rare stuff, and songs you don't hear very often, and/or which you probably haven't heard in a long time. They were great to hear, and the opening theme to Tribute To The Past Shows was used to start the program. I say it was mostly old music because there were a couple of sets of new music, as Azkath said he had too much cool new stuff this week not to play any of it. EVD, Tim, Steve, and Rick from The Metallic Onslaught, were there. Steve brought his guitar and played Iron Maiden's "Children Of The Damned", very appropriate for a Tribute To The Past Show. Steve sang as well as played guitar. Steve has a band, Scholar. Azkath gave everyone a challenge, a Dave challenge (Dave, still really earning his title of Worst Co-Host Ever, was, once again, not present). They had to dance to a song especially picked for the occasion. Just Joe won. For his prize he got a bear hug from Rick. As soon as Just Joe found out what his prize was he didn't want it, but he got it anyways. Rick turned Just Joe around, so that he could hug Just Joe, but Just Joe couldn't hug him back. Then Rick threw Just Joe down the stairs. When asked how he liked his prize, Just Joe reported that his insides hurt. There were two segments of Movie Time, with Rick, Tim, Steve, and EVD participating in the first one, and Foul Mouth Girl participating in the second one...

October 31, 2010 - Hardcore Halloween

Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; As both Halloween and this LE began at midnight, this was a very special Halloween program. EVD and Shane were there in the first part of the night. But most of the show featured bands. There were two bands, one was there for about the first couple hours, and one was there for most of the night. The former was the band Cult Of Saints, it was their first time here. They were interviewed, told us about themselves, and tracks from their CD were played. They are cool. The latter band was Zadoc And The Nightmare. They have added instruments to their band, they now have a cello and a mandolin. They were there until after 4:00. They played several sets of music, each with about three songs in it. They sounded awesome! They also updated us on what has been, and is, going on with the band, and about their forthcoming new CD. There was some molesting going on involving Just Joe and the band Zadoc And The Nightmare. Just Joe arrived quite late, about three hours into the program. After Zadoc And The Nightmare had gone, in the last part of the night, there were two segments of Movie Time, and one segment of Halloween Anomaly Corner. There was of course lots of Halloween music, both metal and comedy songs all throughout the night, about zombies, monsters, evil, and, just about Halloween in general... And thus went the very special Halloween LE...

August 1, 2010 - Check Engine Acoustic

Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Tim, the vocalist for the band Check Engine, was there for the first couple hours of the program. He was interviewed, the songs from his band's CD were played, and he performed a few songs live and acoustic on the air. Very cool. Just Joe was still sticking to his claim that the I-dosing they've been experimenting on him with for the last two weeks have absolutely no affect on him whatsoever, even though it's obvious to everyone else that they do. Azkath asked Just Joe where his MP3 player, with the I-doses on it, had gone. Just Joe said he had no idea, but Azkath searched him, and, what do you know, there was his MP3 player. Just Joe, of course, claimed he had no idea how it had gotten there. When it came time for Russian Roulette, Azkath told Just Joe he had a new I-Dose for him, and that, if no bullet played, he could have the MP3 player and listen to it. If a bullet played, Foul Mouth Girl could try it, to which Just Joe said he would go with her, just to make sure she knew how it worked, of course, although he didn't know why they were even bothering with it any more, since they clearly did not work. No bullet. Just Joe pretended he didn't care, and eagerly grabbed the MP3 player and raced off to the basement. I have never seen Just Joe so eager to hang out in the basement. Given all the horrible things that have happened to him there, all the bad things he's seen down there, and the many, many, many, many times he's been thrown down those stairs, he used to avoid the basement like the plague. Wonder what's changed?? Can't be that he loves I-Dosing, since it doesn't work at all. Azkath said he himself had created this biaurl, and that it was supposed to make you all drunk and goofy. And, go figure, that is exactly the way Just Joe came back from the basement, all laughing, and running after a ball that Azkath told him to chase, even though there was no ball, although Just Joe somehow returned with one, saying he'd found it. Azkath told Just Joe there was one more new I-Dose on the MP3 player, again, one that he himself had made, and that Just Joe could listen to it. Just Joe said he didn't care, grabbed the MP3 player and dashed down to the basement. Azkath said this one was supposed to make you paranoid. Just Joe came back all jumpy and somewhat hostile and accusatory, if you asked him any question at all he would snap "why do you want to know?". He would jump at any little thing, and wound up curled up in a fetal position in the corner. Dave, the worst co-host in the world, was actually there for a while at the beginning of the program, even picking out the first set of music. There were two segments of Movie Time in the last portion of the program. Just Joe ended up the night talking in a very monotone way, no matter what the conversation was he put no expression into it. Azkath told him it was ok to get excited, he yelled out excitedly once, then went back to being all expressionless... Ya know, Just Joe's been acting really weird lately, even for him. Wonder what could be causing it?? Has he been doing anything new lately? Can't think of anything. Oh yeah, there is the I-dosing, but it can't be that, since that doesn't work at all, just ask Just Joe. Of course, he might bite your head off for asking, or just point and giggle hysterically, if you do... Who knows what the cause is... Maybe it's from hanging out in the basement too much, some very strange shit has been known to happen down there...

July 11, 2010 - Amelia is Dead and a Giant Returns

Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; The band Amelia Is Dead was there for most of the first half of the program. They played three songs live and acoustic on the air, and songs from their CD were played as well. They rock. Stephanie, the singer, has a very loud, powerful voice, up there with Angela, the singer from the band If Man Is Five's, only not operatic. They were interviewed, telling us about themselves, as this was their first time on LE. www.myspace.com/ameliaisdead is their website, and they are also on facebook. Some of the band got hugged by Just Joe, and those members also got duct taped to Just Joe by EVD. Rob, from the band Chamber Law was there, but not on air, as he was there while the band was, and so was not on a microphone.

A co-host from the very distant past, like about ten years ago, dropped by this night, The Giant. They wanted to see if he could send Just Joe down the basement stairs by giving him one chop. That wasn't quite enough to accomplish it, so he kicked him as well. Just Joe went down the stairs. After he was back upstairs, The Giant gave him another chop. For Russian Roulette, if a bullet didn't play, Just Joe would get to sing a song, there were even bongos there for him to drum on while he sang. If a bullet played, The Giant would get to pop balloons on Just Joe with The Boomstick. A bullet, Mr. Big. First they had Just Joe hold the balloon in front of his face, and had The Giant swing at it with The Boomstick. He missed several times before he got the balloon, striking Just Joe. Finally he popped the balloon, and knocked Just Joe out. They put a second balloon under the still unconscious Just Joe's shirt, near the crotch area, and The Giant swung at that and eventually popped it. They had one balloon left. They revived Just Joe by telling him there were spiders on the floor where he was lying. Then they had him put the last balloon in front of his heart, and The Giant swung at, and eventually popped, the final balloon. All and all, Just Joe's body took a lot of hits with The Boomstick, way more than three, to get those three balloons popped. There was quite a lot of Adventures In Listening, as there was a lot of new music that Azkath hadn't had a chance to listen to this week, and two segments of Movie Time...
